Basketball Game Preview: Del Valle Cardinals vs. Westlake Chaparrals

Del Valle is 0-10 against Westlake since December of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Del Valle Cardinals will host the Westlake Chaparrals at 7:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Del Valle faced off against Dripping Springs on Friday. Del Valle took a 60-44 bruising from Dripping Springs.

Meanwhile, Westlake entered their tilt with Lake Travis on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged the Cavaliers out 53-51. Given the Chaparrals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westlake pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Del Valle, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
