Volleyball Recap: Jaycee Springer and Karsyn Wilhelmus Secure Win for Castle

Castle won the last time they faced Trinity Lutheran and things went their way on Saturday too. The Knights won by a set and slipped past the Cougars 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Leading Castle to victory were Karsyn Wilhelmus and Jaycee Springer. Wilhelmus had 30 digs and three aces, while Springer had 12 digs and two aces. Wilhelmus is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good server: Castle was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Lutheran only served seven aces.

Trinity Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Presley Meyer, who had eight digs and three aces.

Castle now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Trinity Lutheran, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Castle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Barr-Reeve on the 19th. As for Trinity Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Center Grove on the 18th.
