Baseball Recap: White Station's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

White Station extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 20-10 in the process. They blew past the Overton Wolverines 12-1. Considering the Spartans have won 13 matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Overton, they moved to 17-8-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but White Station's pitchers proved too tough.

For Overton's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Tallent, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Tallent has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last five times he's played.

White Station and Overton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Spartans (ranked 121st) will meet Houston (ranked first) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Overton will take on Collierville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (242 vs. 2).
