Football Recap: Governor Mifflin Comes Up Short

Governor Mifflin lost against Ephrata back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountaineers. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ephrata found their leader in sophomore Malachi Knowles, who rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 204 yards and one TD while completing 91.7% of his passes. Knowles has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. A healthy portion of Knowles' aerial production (92 yards to be exact) went to Micah Spring.

Governor Mifflin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ephrata, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

As of now, neither Governor Mifflin nor the Mountaineers have any future games scheduled.
