Palmview proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Gregory-Portland Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Lobos in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Osi Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Adrian Garza, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Palmview pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Gregory-Portland, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.

Palmview has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Roma on the 15th. As for Gregory-Portland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-3 defeat against Ray on the 14th.
