Basketball Game Preview: Forsyth Central Bulldogs vs. South Forsyth War Eagles

The Forsyth Central Bulldogs will head out to take on the South Forsyth War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Forsyth Central is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against West Forsyth on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Forsyth Central took a blow against West Forsyth, falling 79-50. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, South Forsyth posted their closest victory since November 12, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over North Atlanta. The victory was all the more spectacular given the War Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Warriors are ranked 138th).

Forsyth Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for South Forsyth, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

Forsyth Central skirted past South Forsyth 60-58 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forsyth Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
