Softball Recap: Taconic Takes a Loss

Taconic lost against Turners Falls back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Taconic took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turners Falls. Taconic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taconic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Toni Ahoussi, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Taconic now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Turners Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taconic will head out to face off against Agawam at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunder's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Brownies have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Turners Falls, they are taking a road trip to take on South Hadley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Thunder's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
