Soccer Recap: Genoa-Kingston's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Genoa-Kingston). They put the hurt on the Christian Life Eagles with a sharp 9-0 win on Saturday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Genoa-Kingston's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 140th, while Christian Life are ranked 380th).

Genoa-Kingston's offense was hitting Christian Life from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Ally Poegel led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
