Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Spanish Springs' Winning Streak

After a string of eight wins, Spanish Springs's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Carson Senators by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Madi Long paced Spanish Springs' offense, picking up 16 kills. Long got some help from AJ Robinson and her 24 assists. Natalie Voss controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Spanish Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Carson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spanish Springs will take on Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carson, they will challenge McQueen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
