Volleyball Recap: Eastlake Beats Independence for Their Sixth Straight Win

Eastlake entered their tilt with Independence on Saturday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Leading Eastlake to victory were Addison Carrillo and Genna Gandara. Carrillo had eight digs and one block, while Gandara hit 55.6% for five kills and four digs and one block. Gandara is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 47 games she's played dating back to last season.

Eastlake's record now sits at 6-0. As for Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Eastlake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lone Star on the 16th. Independence has also already played their next contest (against Wilson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
