Baseball Recap: Central Hardin's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Central Hardin was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Fort Knox on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins fell 6-3 to the Bullitt East Chargers on Thursday. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Carson Nichols spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Central Hardin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Price, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Central Hardin's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-14. As for Bullitt East, they moved to 18-7-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
