Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Snider Starts Season with Win Against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger

Fort Wayne Snider had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints.

Fort Wayne Snider's got stronger as the match went on, holding Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-13.

Landen Altic paced Fort Wayne Snider's offense, picking up ten kills. Altic got some help from Pau Lak and his 25 assists. Hae Lu Htoo and Xzavier Shugart kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Schatzman, who had 15 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay O'Leary, who had 13 digs.

Coming up, Fort Wayne Snider will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, they will venture away from home to challenge Fort Wayne Northrop at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
