Soccer Game Preview: Union Academy vs. South Point

The Union Academy Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the South Point Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Union Academy challenged Providence on Monday. The Cardinals came up short against the Panthers, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Union Academy were already down 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Brihanna Ashcraft, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, South Point kept a clean sheet against St. Stephens last Monday. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 3-0 win. South Point haven't had any issues with St. Stephens recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

South Point now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Union Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
