Basketball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Logan/Palco

Logan/Palco had won seven straight games and Rhett Kats did his part to make it eight on Friday. Logan/Palco claimed a resounding 56-21 win over the Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks thanks in part to Kats, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 25 points along with eight boards and six assists. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Gaschler, who posted five points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. Those six steals gave him a new career-high.

Logan/Palco pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Logan/Palco will venture away from home to face off against Stockton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, they will challenge Dighton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dighton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Wheatland-Grinnell surely won't give up without a fight.
