Basketball Recap: Parkland Comes Up Short

Parkland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Americas Trail Blazers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Matadors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-24 back in January.

Americas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JOSH PICHARDO, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was CHRISTIAN BACA, who scored four points and four steals.

Parkland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Americas, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-10.

Parkland will challenge Bel Air at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Americas, they will welcome Hanks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Americas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
