Wilmington waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Mercer Mustangs. This was payback for the Greyhounds, who suffered a 7-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Avery Harlan was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Karah Deal, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Wilmington pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Mercer, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilmington will welcome West Middlesex at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greyhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Big Reds have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Mercer, they will be playing at home against Farrell at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
