Volleyball Recap: Finley Wheeler and Sophie Wischmeier Secure Win for Brownstown Central

Brownstown Central barely beat Seymour the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves put the hurt on the Owls with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won three contests in a row.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-19.

Leading Brownstown Central to victory were Sophie Wischmeier and Finley Wheeler. Wischmeier had 19 kills, 12 digs, and one block, while Wheeler had ten digs and one block. That's the most kills Wischmeier has posted since September 2nd. Aylah Belding was another key player, getting 12 kills, four digs, and two aces.

Despite the loss, Seymour still got an impressive performance from Norah Campbell, who had 20 digs and one assist. Campbell has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Brownstown Central's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Seymour, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-13.

Looking ahead, Brownstown Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Scottsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Seymour, they will venture away from home to square off against Providence at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
