Recap: St. George's Gryphons vs. Brighton Cardinals
The St. George's Gryphons waltzed into Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 58-53 victory over Brighton. Given St. George's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Brighton is ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. George's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amir Wilson, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Wilson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Silas Jones, who scored 11 points.
St. George's now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brighton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
