Baseball Game Preview: Ware Indians vs. Hopkins Academy Golden Hawks

Ware has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Hopkins Academy has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Indians will welcome the Golden Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Ware is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Ware's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over South Hadley. Considering the Indians have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ware got a great performance from Brady Guimond as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Guimond has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Owen McKeever, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Kaczuwka, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.

Ware kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Hopkins Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 8-5 to McCann Tech.

Ware's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Hopkins Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Ware skirted past Hopkins Academy 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Golden Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
