Basketball Game Preview: Rolling Hills Prep Huskies vs. Oakland Tech Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Rolling Hills Prep Huskies will jump right back in to play the Oakland Tech Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Rolling Hills Prep's tournament run continued when they took on Prescott on Thursday. Rolling Hills Prep sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 win over Prescott. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Huskies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 77th in California, while the Badgers are ranked 11th in Arizona).

Meanwhile, Oakland Tech had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Jackrabbits out 59-56. The 59-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Oakland Tech is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Rolling Hills Prep, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
