Basketball Recap: Hartsville Red Foxes vs. Lake City Panthers        
        
		
             Hartsville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   66-55  victory over the Lake City Panthers. The  win was some much needed relief for the Red Foxes as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Hartsville's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Kayson Dawson, who  earned 17 points along with five  steals. Dawson has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  steals the last four times he's  played.  Ej Smith was another key player,  posting 11 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Hartsville  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 23  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake City only pulled down eight.
 Lake City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Blayne Edwards, who  earned 15 points in addition to five  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Antwain Jones, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds.
 Hartsville will face off against Lamar at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Lake City, they and South Florence will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lake City is looking for their season's first  victory.
