Basketball Game Preview: Upson-Lee Knights vs. Sandy Creek Patriots

Upson-Lee has won three straight games at home, while Sandy Creek has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Upson-Lee Knights will host the Sandy Creek Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Upson-Lee is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Whitewater: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Upson-Lee blew Whitewater out of the water with a 67-24 final score. The Knights pushed the score to 45-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Sandy Creek blew past LaGrange, posting a 63-21 win. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Grangers are ranked 420th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sandy Creek has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.8 points. As for Upson-Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
