Sandhills Valley has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Brady Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sandhills Valley and the Eagles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
Last Friday, Sandhills Valley was beaten by the 58-28. Sandhills Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Brady proved on Tuesday. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over Wallace. The victory was just what Brady needed coming off of a 62-21 defeat in their prior matchup.
Brady's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lydia McGown, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Payton Stienike was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Sandhills Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Brady, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Sandhills Valley was dealt a bruising 53-13 loss at the hands of the Eagles when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stienike, who scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
