The Hattiesburg HomeSchool Forerunners will challenge the Laurel HomeSchool Knighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hattiesburg HomeSchool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Hattiesburg HomeSchool made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Laurel HomeSchool, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Forerunners blew past the Knighthawks 11-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Forerunners have posted against the Knighthawks since April 22, 2022.

Alex Sinclair made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Thomas, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Hattiesburg HomeSchool: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Ayden Stafford also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Laurel HomeSchool is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. As for Hattiesburg HomeSchool, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
