Basketball Recap: Imani Monroe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Arundel over Meade

Arundel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meade Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-25 back in December of 2024.

Arundel's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Imani Monroe, who posted 11 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Monroe a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Anna Bristol, who earned ten points and three steals.

Arundel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Meade, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Arundel has already played their next game, a 22-18 loss against North County on the 4th. As for Meade, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-37 win against Southern on the 4th.
