Recap: Ramsay Rams vs. Gulf Shores Dolphins
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ramsay Rams can now relate to. They fell 21-14 to the Dolphins on Thursday. Ramsay's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Ramsay's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Ashford, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown. Ashford hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games.
Ronnie Royal went supernova for Gulf Shores, rushing for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Royal was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Ramsay's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Gulf Shores, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Ramsay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gulf Shores also has no future games currently scheduled.
