Ethan is 8-1 against Mitchell Christian since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Ethan Rustlers will head out on the road to challenge the Mitchell Christian Golden Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Ethan is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
Even though Canistota scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, Ethan still came out on top. Ethan sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 win over Canistota. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Ethan has posted yet this season.
Mitchell Christian suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2023 on Friday. Their tough 62-39 loss to Tripp-Delmont/Armour might stick with them for a while. Mitchell Christian has not had much luck with Tripp-Delmont/Armour recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mitchell Christian got a solid performance out of Aiden Lieber, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That was a full 61.5% of Mitchell Christian's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ethan's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Mitchell Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Ethan took their victory against Mitchell Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 72-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ethan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
