Baseball Recap: 11 Straight Home Wins for American Fork

American Fork faced Fremont in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. American Fork walked away with a 6-3 victory over Fremont. The Cavemen have beaten the Silverwolves the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Silverwolves has come to flipping the script.

Bode Gaggero made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other pitching news, Jamon Yates looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cooper Jones, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

American Fork pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Fremont, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Fork will welcome Davis at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fremont, they will take on Roy at 3:00 p.m. on April 3.
