            Softball Recap: Linden Eagles vs. Midland Chemics        
        
		
        
        
            Linden blew Midland out of the water the last time the pair played, but  on Saturday Midland got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Chemics by a score of  6-4. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chemics earlier this season, when they won  8-0.
 Tessa Zilisch (2027) was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  didn't allow a single  earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.
 On the hitting side, Linden saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Addi Siegwald (2027), who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3. Siegwald (2027) also  brought in an  RBI, marking her first of the season.
Linden's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Midland,  the  victory  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Linden will venture away from home to  face off against Flushing  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Midland, they will head out to  challenge Mt. Pleasant  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. The  match will  give the Chemics their first taste of in-conference action this season.
