Volleyball Recap: Ross County Christian Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road

Ross County Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Wilmington Christian Academy Blazers 3-0. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ross County Christian Academy never let Wilmington Christian Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-9, 25-23.

Gabe Bevan paced Ross County Christian Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Bevan got some help from Nathaniel Clevenger and his 23 assists. Clevenger was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Coincidentally, Ross County Christian Academy and Wilmington Christian Academy will both be playing Hillsboro Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Ross County Christian Academy will host Hillsboro Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Wilmington Christian Academy will host them at 5:30 p.m. on April 1.
