Softball Recap: Immaculate Heart Comes Up Short

Immaculate Heart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 23-6 to the Hoover Tornados. While the Pandas didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tornados 5-1 in the first period.

Immaculate Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hoover, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Immaculate Heart will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marymount at 3:15 p.m. on the 29th. As for Hoover, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Mary's Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tornados are facing the Belles at the right time seeing as the Belles are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
