Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Yellowjackets vs. Bear Creek Bruins

For the second straight game, Franklin will face off against Bear Creek. The Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Franklin has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Bear Creek will arrive with three straight wins.

Franklin fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bear Creek on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 4-2.

For Bear Creek's part, they let Nick Mayorquin and Tyler Gilbert run wild. Mayorquin went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double, while Gilbert went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Mayorquin a new career-high. Evan Jackson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
