Softball Recap: North County Knights vs. Northeast Eagles
North County lost against Northeast back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The North County Knights lost 13-3 to the Northeast Eagles. North County has struggled against Northeast recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
For Northeast's part, Presley McGinty made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. McGinty was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, a triple, and an RBI.
In other batting news, Northeast got a massive performance out of Maddison Burris, who went 3-for-3 with six RBI, a triple, and a double. Another player making a difference was Brynn Jones, who scored four runs while going 2-for-3.
