Softball Recap: Spring Valley Gets the Win

The Spring Valley Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Clear Lake Warriors 5-3 on Tuesday.

Megan Harvey made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Harvey was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Amelia Brunner was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Riley Zimmerman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Spring Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.

Spring Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Clear Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
