On Friday Marion Center's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Stingers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Marion Center's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 11.8 runs thus far. As for DuBois Central Catholic, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion Center will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cambria Heights at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they will face off against Punxsutawney at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
