Corbin got themselves on the board against Somerset on Thursday, but Somerset never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Briar Jumpers 1-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Redhounds' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Corbin's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Clay Botner, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Corbin's win bumped their record up to 19-13. As for Somerset, they moved to 11-15 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Corbin has already played their next match, an 8-2 defeat against Madison Central on the 9th. Somerset has also already played their next contest (against South Laurel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
