Baseball Game Preview: Burlington Cougars vs. Goodland Cowboys

The Burlington Cougars will square off against the Goodland Cowboys at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Burlington lost 13-4 to Akron on Saturday.

Darian McDonough made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Goodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 4-1 to Colby.

Goodland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Rubial, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Goodland, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.
