After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last six games, Math Science & Engineering finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the Hunter College Hawks, falling 18-2. Math Science & Engineering's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Math Science & Engineering saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annalie Merkel, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Merkel has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played.

Math Science & Engineering's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Hunter College, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Math Science & Engineering will head out to face off against Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hunter College, they will face off against Manhattan Center for Science & Math at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
