Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns vs. Fallbrook Warriors

For the second straight game, Rancho Buena Vista will face off against Fallbrook. The Longhorns will challenge the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Rancho Buena Vista took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Fallbrook a 5-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Longhorns as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Tyler Saldana-Mu?oz's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Rancho Buena Vista's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ty Lowry, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Lowry has posted since back in April of 2024.

Fallbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
