Basketball Recap: Lake Region Takes a Loss

Lake Region was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Medomak Valley Panthers an easy 65-40 win. The contest marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lake Region now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Medomak Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Lake Region will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Spruce Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Medomak Valley, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Mt. Ararat at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Ararat has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
