Softball Recap: Youngsville Comes Up Short

Youngsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-3 to the Union City Bears. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Youngsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Union City, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Youngsville will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lakeview at 4:15 p.m. on May 5. As for Union City, they will head out to face off against Seneca at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
