Softball Recap: Ripley Takes a Loss

Ripley extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-5. They came up short against the Itawamba Agricultural Indians, falling 16-0. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 10-4 to the Indians when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Itawamba Agricultural, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Give their pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

For Itawamba Agricultural's part, Abri McAlexander was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those three hits gave McAlexander a new career-high. Abbie Robertson was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

Coming up, Ripley is taking a road trip to face off against Starkville at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they will challenge Choctaw Central at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
