Volleyball Recap: Cedar Valley Falls Despite Big Games from Kylee Anderson and Ashley Gagnier

Cedar Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Copper Hills Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Cedar Valley couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Copper Hills a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 24-26, 28-30, 25-20, 15-11.

Despite the defeat, Cedar Valley had strong showings from Ashley Gagnier, who had 33 digs and three assists, and Kylee Anderson, who had 26 digs and two aces.

Cedar Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Copper Hills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-17.

Cedar Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Copper Hills, they will face off against Mountain Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
