Softball Game Preview: Friendship Golden Eagles vs. Genesee Valley Jaguars

The Friendship Golden Eagles will take on the Genesee Valley Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Friendship has given up an average of 16.5 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friendship had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Bolivar-Richburg put an end to it on Saturday. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Wolverines, falling 17-1.

Meanwhile, while Genesee Valley put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Alfred-Almond. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.

Genesee Valley pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Friendship, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
