With a playoff game on the line, Hough rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-0 victory over the South Iredell Vikings. The Huskies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Ralph (Trey) Blakeney was his usual excellent self, throwing for 201 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The win was the tenth in a row for Hough, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.2 points. As for South Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Hough will host Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Hough has won five straight at home, while Independence won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change. South Iredell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
