Hillside skates past Jordan with ease

Make it seven blowout wins for the Hillside Hornets this season. They blew past Jordan 54-26 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-8.

Leading Hillside to victory were Sa?nya Horton and Samiyah Barker. Horton scored 13 points along with four steals, while Barker scored 16 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Barker posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Kayden Sims, who scored eight points along with four steals.

Hillside is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillside will play host again and welcome Riverside-Durham, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside-Durham is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Jordan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chapel Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
