Basketball Recap: Hanford Takes a Loss

Hanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were dealt a 75-47 loss at the hands of the Richland Bombers. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Bombers are ranked 132nd).

Hanford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Richland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanford will host Chiawana at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Chiawana knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Hanford likes a good challenge. As for Richland, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Walla Walla at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
