Baseball Recap: Evangelical Christian Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Evangelical Christian had won six straight at home, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 20-8 to make it seven. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the First Assembly Christian Crusaders. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Knox Aaron, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Banks Addison was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for First Assembly Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-18-1 record. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but Evangelical Christian's pitchers proved too tough.

On First Assembly Christian's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Forrest, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Forrest is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

As of now, neither Evangelical Christian nor First Assembly Christian have any future games scheduled.
