Basketball Game Preview: New Diana Eagles vs. Hooks Hornets

The New Diana Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Hooks Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. New Diana took down Harmony 66-48. New Diana hasn't had any issues with Harmony recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Hooks had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 80-40 win over the Hawks. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Hooks' victory bumped their record up to 20-13. As for New Diana, their win bumped their record up to 14-15.

New Diana took a serious blow against Hooks in their previous meeting back in December of 2020, falling 79-34. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point New Diana was down 43-19.
