Rashad Dockery's Big Game Leads South View over Purnell Swett

Starting off the list is South View's Rashad Dockery, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dockery rushed for 202 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

The win (which was South View's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Dockery and South View will head out to take on Gray's Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Reed Posts Huge Game in 28-24 Victory

Gray's Creek took down Lumberton on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Ezekiel Reed's standout performance. Reed was unstoppable, rushing for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.

Unfortunately for Lumberton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Reed. Reed rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry the last time he and the Pirates duked it out back in October of 2023.

Seventy-First Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Donavan Frederick

Seventy-First picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Donavan Frederick. Frederick did his part (and then some), rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries for the 'W'.

Seventy-First pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Frederick's next contest is against Purnell Swett on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Deandre Nance Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Deandre Nance was instrumental in extending Seventy-First's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nance was excellent, rushing for 113 yards on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (100.1).

Nance is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Purnell Swett on Friday. Nance rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 65 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Rams duked it out back in October of 2023.
